Myddleton Road - cleaning up the streets

At the risk of sounding a bit Robert de Niro in Taxi Driver, I wonder if anything can be done about the drug dealing and selling of shoplifted goods that is taking place on Myddleton Road on these warm evenings? It's not exactly hard to identify the main cast, who have of late taken to riding round on yellow hire bikes by day. Its really frustrating: the street has come on in leaps and bounds but a persistent undercurrent of low level crime is holding it back and making it feel dodgy. Doubly…See More

Goodbye, Killick Stores

I was very sad to see the note on the shop today that the Killick Stores on Myddleton Road is closing, although I'm glad to say that Emma will still be doing the monthly markets. It's been lovely having the shop there for the last 3 years, and its been a great source of unusual and funky stuff (and its rescued us more than a few times for last minute presents for  forgotten birthdays)!Hats off to Emma for starting up a new business and offering something different that was a core part of the…See More
