I have 7 videos that could be reused/taped over if anyone out there is still using this old technology. I am trying to avoid sending them to landfill. Continue

Request for Help with Video Camera Lost Content!

Posted on January 10, 2011 at 17:30 0 Comments

One of my regulars at the 128 Myddleton Road drop-in for the over 65s every other Thursday, has a problem with his video camera and I’m wondering if anyone on the site can help.

He seems to have lost a huge amount of work and film, over 100 hours, somehow and can’t retrieve from the disc. It’s a Sony Video 125 (he thinks).

Does that make sense to anyone? Does anyone know if this data can be retrieved somehow because it was painstaking work and a great shame to lose it… Continue

Hi Ruth I'd like to let you know that we are having a Christmas bazaar at 128 on 11 December, 1–4, if any of the local members of Age Concern, or elderly people that you know in the area, would like to come. Richard is posting the poster on the website, but I can email you a copy if you let me have your email. Mine is:
difer@blueyonder.co.uk. Many thanks. Diana

Yes Plese do include stuff on Myddleton Road - at present all new content not written by me is very welcome!

And yes to meeting for a chat - I work in east London, but am usually around closer to home each Thursday... How does next Thursday the 18th sound?

If not begin and end of the working day are better for me.

Many Thanks Ruth
Great to meet you too - It would be terrific to have an introduction and ongoing updates on the NC project here. We might think about how to ensure it gets the right profile. A series of blog psts? a new page? a group?.... or just consistent tagging.

In any event a regular update - which could be recycled on both B&B and HoL if appropriate would be really good.

Thanks again
