After many months Finsbury Gardens is now open. The new grass is not quite established so still needs to be fenced off and this means the new picnic table cannot be used. But all this lovely rain is good for new grass so hopefully it will not be long before this area will be open too. Finsbury Diggers (Friends of Finsbury Gardens) at Finsbury Gardens
June 16, 2012 from 2pm to 4pm
Haringey Parks Department, who have worked so hard with us to improve the Gardens, are suffering from extreme cutbacks to their budget. This only allows them to cut the grass 12 times a year and trim the shrubs once. This leaves all the weeding planting and general maintenance of the gardens and the beds at both ends to volunteers.
