tree surgeon

Hi I don't need one immediately but I will soon be looking for a knowledgeable, reliable and reasonably priced tree surgeon. I would like to have the canopy of trees that overhang the back of my garden thinned and other cutting back done. It would also be good if the person knew about pruning fruit trees: plum and cherry. There are recommendations on the site but they date from three years ago so I'd like something more recent. I'm also going to try Capel Manor. Thanks.See More

Diana Ferguson replied to Jess Alavi-Ellis's discussion Found lovebird - is yours missing?
"Good luck Jess. Without sounding totally cynical, if someone does rock up claiming to be the owner be cautious. I don’t know what these birds sell for but it’s not impossible that some individual could claim to be the owner in order to…"

Diana Ferguson replied to Jess Alavi-Ellis's discussion Found lovebird - is yours missing?
"Any joy finding the owners Jess? Can you take a picture and use it to circulate some flyers? I don’t know anything about birds but I wonder how far lovebirds might fly. Hopefully the owners are local. I don’t have a cage but the RSPB…"

Diana Ferguson replied to Jess Alavi-Ellis's discussion Found lovebird - is yours missing?
"Yep, def sounds like a lovebird with that colouring. Also if it's that tame it must belong to someone. I suppose you could try the local police to see if anyone has reported it missing… or the RSPB. Are you OK feeding it?"

"I've looked on Google. The green parakeets have long tails and are pretty much green all over. Lovebirds have much shorter tails, red faces and a flash of blue feathers in the…"

Diana Ferguson replied to Jess Alavi-Ellis's discussion Found lovebird - is yours missing?
"Maybe take a pic and put up notices around the area? A lot of people won't be looking at this site or have access to it. A bit of a pain, I know – I have a wandering cat so I know about circulating flyers!"

Diana Ferguson replied to Paul Muir's discussion Mutual cat sitting
"Hi Paul and Helen Paul, I'm guessing by now you have found someone to feed your cats as you must be away now. But I would be interested in mutual cat feeding. One of my lovely neighbours has been feeding my cat quite a lot while I have been…"

Hi Diana,
Just getting the hang of this website and left a message for you - hope you can see it but I would be happy to meet up informally to chat about being creative and painting.

Hi Diana

Thank you for offering to join the herb-tending brigade if the scheme goes ahead at Bowes Park Station.

I don't know about the area around the tube, have you asked Haringey what plans if any they have to beautify it?
