How about a local noticeboard, for example if you have something to sell/ buy, or if  you are looking for a particular service, eg plumber? Also possibly a jobs board? For example, we are looking for a local person to work part time in our business run from our home, would it be possible to post a notice about it, like I have done on the haringey families noticeboard?

We have just moved to Palmers Green from Tufnell Park and a great resource was the Tufnell Park Parents Support Group ( TPPSG) ww.tppsg.org/ . Set up by and for parents it ranged from emails on items for sale or free though to "tea morning" -it was great to dip in and out of at various times in my children's lives and was very community oriented as well as a great source of info for schools, childcare etc. I guess I am wondering of there is something similar for B + B ( + palmers!) as we are still struggling to figure out what is available where.... also keen to get involved with the area but hard to know where to find out info!
