buy? rent? budget?
you might struggle at that budget. bounds green 2 beds are more like £1,500 pcm
Thanks, we know people who just rented a lovely place for £288 per week and have seen several that have come and gone over last few months for £295 - £320 so are confident we'll find something, we can wait :-) We were posting on here in case any private landlords out there, we are also on Zoopla etc...
it's better value the other side of the high road (woodside, lyndhurst, maryland, sylvan, arcadian)
I'm on the BP side of the High Road - 8min walk to Bowes Park stn and 12 to Bounds Green tube and £1350pcm is possible although our private landlord is bemoaning the fact that none of his tenants are moving on at present (us included!) Good luck though.
I hope you find just what you're looking for in the right location, it's a great place to be for so many reasons.
Thank you so much, we were a little unsure about moving but think we're going to give it a go! Would be great to hear a little more about the area from locals, what is it you like about living there? Any advice or tips much appreciated. Where do you generally head for meals out, drinks, shopping etc...?
It is indeed a great place to be. There is an increasingly varied and attractive variety of shops, cafes and more besides on Myddleton Road. The Step is a local favourite. La Coppia, the Italian deli, is also splendid and a great place to pick up a coffee on your way to work. A bakery is opening soon opposite the (also great) Greek deli. Nearer Bounds Green station, the Ranelagh is a warm and welcoming place to drink and have dinner. In short, there is plenty to find and discover.
Fatisa on Wood Green High Road is great for breakfasts and lunches - great pizza, pasta and other mediterranean meals ... their salad dressing and fries are also top notch!
