A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
Press coverage this week reveals that Nightingale Primary School in Wood Green has achieved unwanted profile... as the first school to have its governing body removed by the edict of the Minister of Education. Gove dismissed the governors after they had asked for more time to consult with parents about the school being forced to accept academy status.
Nightingale is one of four Haringey primaries which are being pressured to become academies despite opposition from governors staff and parents.
