Drones over Bowes 20.6.2012

Hey all

i was getting home last night at about 11pm and heard what could be described as a propeller plane circling above our neck of the woods, this went on till about 1230am! it wasn't a police helicopter, we all know what that looks like, it wasn't the flying eye, too late for traffic updates, also it was flying too slow, it wasn't aliens and it wasn't a jet engine plane, no starboard or port lights, just a pair of flashing white lights at either end of the wingspan, so, was it a Drone (UAV)? have the thought police moved in? are we heading for Orwell's description of the future? with the political elite on full paranoid mode, and the Olympics coming up, its not a surprise, just don't be surprised if this becomes the norm, which it shouldn't in a free and open society 

did anyone else see or hear this? to be honest the noise was pretty annoying, like a fly in the background!
