A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
4 year old, small golden/orange Pomeranian Chihuahua cross dog. Went missing from 68 Marlborough road at around 13:10 Sunday 24 June.
Call ELIZABETH on 07787 411 944 if you know anything.
REWARD for information resulting in his return.
We miss him terribly, he is a loved family pet and best friend. His cat is waiting for him so they can snuggle up together.
Please, please keep your eyes peeled.

Permalink Reply by Tracy Knatt on June 29, 2012 at 12:32 Glad he is back but that is outrageous about how you were fleeced by them - and even worse that the police can do nothing. Hope he has settled after the experience!
Permalink Reply by Mandy Norman on June 29, 2012 at 16:23 So glad you have him back! I did see the posters around the area.
I am also outraged that these people have been allowed to get away with this, although Elizabeth I'm sure you're just glad to have him back.
I would be tempted to have a warning on all neighbourhood forums to be on the lookout for these kind of scams if this hasn't been done already. Surely it's a criminal offence and these people should be punished, perhaps a bit of community service cleaning up street dog poo would be good for starters!
Rant over and glad you're all reunited.

I agree about the warning - I'll include a note in our next update. In addition here are a couple of useful resources:
Permalink Reply by Elizabeth Reay on June 30, 2012 at 17:58 www.Doglost.co.uk were amazing at helping us. They told us exactly how to canvas the area, the information for the posters and how to do the exchange without anyone/dog coming to harm. We are so grateful to the local community. We are trying very hard to get all the posters down but we are exhausted and honestly cant remember where they all are! If you see them you have my absolute permission to take them down and share the good news.
Thank you all for your love and support x x x
Permalink Reply by Caroline Wall on July 2, 2012 at 7:02 Hi Elizabeth - glad all ended well. Just a thought for the future - you said that you didn't give out Vinnie's name for good reasons so dog-nappers couldn't have control. However, the downloadable missing notice on this (somewhat public) site is entitled "Vinnie poster.doc". However obviously hope Vinnie and his cat live happily ever after at 68 Marlborough Road with owners with no awful episodes again.
Caroline :-)
Permalink Reply by Jo Strange on June 30, 2012 at 12:23 Hi Elizabeth - phew, such great news that you and your partner have little Vinnie back. It must have been so stressful, really shocked and angry to hear how it unfolded; what a vile thing to do. Hope you all have a nice relaxing weekend.
We operate as a volunteer community project, accepting advertising helps cover our costs.
Whilst it's cheap to run the site - it's not free. If you can help - please consider making a donation.
