DOG MISSING from Marlborough Road - small, orange Pomeranian cross

4 year old, small golden/orange Pomeranian Chihuahua cross dog. Went missing from 68 Marlborough road at around 13:10 Sunday 24 June.

Call ELIZABETH on 07787 411 944 if you know anything.

REWARD for information resulting in his return.

We miss him terribly, he is a loved family pet and best friend. His cat is waiting for him so they can snuggle up together.

Please, please keep your eyes peeled.

This is a copy of the poster Elizabeth attached to her message. I hope you're re-united with him soon.

In addition to posting here, I see Elizabeth's put up a lot of posters around area. Is there any value in having a:

a) Lost and found section on this site?

b) Feature where an Administrator can send out an urgent mass email in cases of lost pets? (I think this would need to be on an opt-in basis though.)

Wouldn't it be great to have a positive use for neighbourhood crowd-sourcing rather than just for organising riots?

I've shared this on our Facebook page too. I hope he comes home soon, Elizabeth.

Our neighbour, Mandy, on our road, believes she may have seen 2 mixed race, young men put him into the back of a black or silver car and drive off. Of course we are absolutely devastated. We are just hoping they want the reward money more than our doggie. If you live on Marlborough road and you think you saw these men at around 13:10 ish PLEASE, PLEASE let me know.

Possible sighting in Palmers Green - please keep a look out.

I have shared this on Facebook too! I hope you get him back!

I feel for you as I think I met  your dog on Bounds Green Road recently and I noticed the chihuahua resemblance as my brother has a long haired chihuahua but also noticed the Pomeranian curled-up tail.  I do so hope you find him!! I will keep a look out for sure!

He's home! It cost us a huge amount in ransom money but Vinnie is home. We couldn't put his name on the posters because we knew he'd been stolen and we didn't want the people who had him to be able to control him. We had to put up a lot of posters to encourage them to exchange him for money and stop them from selling him on. Everyone has been so lovely, thank you for all your support x x x

So glad he's home Elizabeth but what a horrible situation for you and it's terrible that a dog-napper has extorted money from you for your beloved pet. Did you get the police involved at all? Other pet owners in the area should be made aware of this.

The police were involved but they took a long time to even give us a crime reference number. To be honest the people that nicked him said to my partner 'we can do the exchange in the police station if you like - they don't care' which is very telling. Please let anyone you know with pets know to keep a tag with their phone number on them at all times, have them micro-chipped (I think you can get GPRS ones now).

At home and high 5ing

Hi Elizabeth
Lovely picture to illustrate a happy ending just such a shame that heartless criminals demanded money.
I agree with Lindsey about warning other local pet owners - and with your response about tagging and chipping pets.

Welcome Home Vinnie!
