We were wondering if anyone knows of a local B&B? Any suggestions gratefully received!

Not sure about Bounds Green, but there are a few Hotels in Muswell Hill. Not a million miles away

Ooh new business opportunity for you and Matt??? Sorry, I only know of hotels in Muswell Hill too! The Raglan looks nice! Or there is the Comfort Inn, not quite a B & B, two junctions west on the North Circular in Finchley!

Hi Nell

A couple of responses via Twitter:

Great! Thanks everyone - will check them out.

That's not a bad idea Susie!

There's also an upmarket version called onefinestay.com which offers hotel service in people's homes. And Wimdu is another version of airbnb.

There is a place at the back of shopping city that is half way between a hotel and a B&B. I can't remember the  name. They are always very busy. So there probably is a good business opportunity - there are some good websites where you can post your own spare room (spareroom.co.uk) - I think you can earn £4250 before being liable for income tax on the earnings.  Am sure there are lots of people with beautiful spare rooms to let. Transport is great here are we have Ally pally etc. Bringing in tourists would boost the local economy and improve the area.

I use AirBNB and highly recommend it.

Are you moving out or is this a conversation I have forgotten we had?

Hi all,

Thank you kindly Nell for starting the discussion.

The requirement is now a little more permanent as the family has reloctaed from NZ and is looking for permanent digs in the area.  Shane is in the UK to coach the Wasps rugby team.  The accomodation would need to be big enough for four people.  Any help or contacts would be graetly appreciated.

Kind rgds
