Enfield Council has received a petition concerning parking by non-residents on Marlborough Road. As a result we are now undertaking consultation to seek your views on the parking situation in your street, and to understand whether you would like the Council to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) to restrict non-resident parking activity. The purpose of this first stage consultation is to explore views about current parking issues in the vicinity of Marlborough Road, possible solutions to these parking issues and to investigate whether there is support for the principle of a CPZ, including preferred hours of operation.
A description of the operation of CPZs can be found in the next pages, and a map of the Marlborough Road area is shown below. This is your opportunity to tell us your views. Your views are important even if you do not own a vehicle or park in your street, as your visitors may be affected by the proposals.
We anticipate carrying out a second stage of consultation at a later stage if this first stage results in a proposal to introduce parking controls in the Marlborough Road area. More details about the stages of CPZ consultations can be found in Enfield Council’s CPZ Charter. Please read carefully the information and submit your response by 31st August 2015
